“Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.”

—John Lennon

Dear Friends,

We are encroaching on our 20th year of publication. At the rate of three issues a year, we should have been at issue 60 by now.
Alas, we are releasing issue 25 after a bit over a year in hibernation. We’ve had a few hiatus along the way.
I won’t go into details, but to say that John Lennon nailed it.

We’re very proud to have made it these twenty years. It’s gone by in a heartbeat.
We are thankful to the work that we’ve been exposed to, and, in turn, been able to share with the world.

Writers keep on writing, asking questions:

  • What are we doing here?
  • What does it matter?
  • How many candles do we have to light before the whole thing burns down?

To quote another artist/musician,

“Put your hands over your eyes. Jump out of the plane
There is no pilot. You are not alone. Standby.
This is the time. And this is the record of the time
This is the time. And this is the record of the time”

—Laurie Anderson

Answers:

  • Writing it all down.
  • Aren’t we glad for Lascaux? And hieroglyphs? And the Rosetta stone? And 8 minutes 46 seconds of video?
  • All the candles.

This is the time.

Kind Regards,
